Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about working with Beyond Colour for your interior design project.
How do you determine the design fee for my project?
Your fee is based on the number of rooms, complexity, selections, and project scope. After your consultation, we outline exactly what’s required and provide a tailored design proposal.
Do I need to have a clear style before working with you?
Not at all. Most clients don’t. We help you refine your style through conversation, imagery, samples, and guided direction.
Can you help if I already started my project?
Yes — we often assist homeowners who reach out mid-renovation when decisions become overwhelming. That said, joining a project that’s already underway can be more challenging, and our availability depends on our booking schedule and the stage your renovation is in.
If we can accommodate the timing, we’ll review your plans, selections, and layout to help get your project back on track with clarity and confidence.
Do you work with small spaces or condos?
Yes — we work with homes, condos, townhouses, and rentals.
What areas do you serve?
We work with homeowners throughout all of Niagara and Hamilton. Virtual options are available for certain services.
Do you offer hourly design services?
Our design work is primarily flat-fee because it provides clarity, structure, and a predictable investment for homeowners. Our hourly rate is used in certain situations but will always be discussed before being added.
Can I book additional time?
Absolutely — additional sessions can be arranged.
Is the consultation fee credited toward future work?
No. The consultation is a standalone service designed to provide clear direction and professional guidance for your space. If you choose to move forward with additional services, we’ll outline the next steps based on your project.
